The refrigerant then cools down and turns back into a low-pressure gas. Now another fan that is inside the home blows air over cool coils to deliver cold air.

The compressor is responsible for moving the refrigerant between the evaporator and condenser coils, ensuring that the refrigerant changes to gas or liquid as needed. So the compressor is the heart of the air conditioner and the refrigerant as the blood.

The condensing unit is responsible for generating the cool air that is propelled into the evaporative unit. The evaporative unit then pushes the cool air throughout your home using the furnace duct system.

These are expensive compared to window units and Duct leakage can reduce energy efficiency.

Ductless Air Conditioners
